Very quickly I realized that boxing was not something I could make a career out of! Despite this failed foray into combat sports, I still felt drawn to the activity and fun of sparring and set out to recreate the fun of sparring but with limited risk of injury. I figured there had to be another way to capture that intensity and focused dynamic movements of boxing. This is where the seed of Fight Tech was planted and was the first step to where we are today.

I have been a successful small business owner for the past 16 years, but I have always maintained my interest in developing an exercise device that gives people the opportunity to practice their timing and reflexes similar to that of boxing. My first device was developed over 30 years ago and was merely a rotating PVC arm on a metal axis, which was a great way to get an exercise, but was ultimately lacking. During the past four years I have implemented and designed many different modifications, leading to Fight Tech -- a series of gym equipment that trains your reflexes, coordination, and stamina while enjoying a fun work out.

This project has become very special to me. I can think of no other opportunity that could inspire me to combine my passions of inventing and intense exercise. Orion Fight Tech works better than I could have ever hoped for. It easily exceeds every single goal I had initially set for it. The opportunity to help people stay in shape while having fun, and most importantly staying safe, is another aspiration I have with this project. The ability to make a positive impact in people's lives is priceless. This entire process of development has been an incredibly rich, and at times a humbling learning experience. I have come to know far more about mechanical engineering, electronics, and design than I could ever imagine. I hope the final product will reflect this amazing process I have undertaken.
